Filter Assembly

Filter assembly is the assembly of scattered filter parts into a whole with specific functions, which can be used directly as a whole, without spending time to assemble. Sometimes people only change filter when the filter is clogged. But for some special filters, the filters cant be separated. Or the head and bowls are also broken after times using. You will change the whole filter assembly.

A filter assembly consists of a filter housing and high-performance filter element. Particulate contamination including metals, dust, fibers, seal material, etc., is removed and captured by the filter element. The clean fluid then exits the assembly through the outlet port. The system fluid enters the assembly through the inlet port. It flows through the inlet and into the filter element.

Filter Assembly Types

Air cleaner assembly, is designed to prevent airborne impurities such as dust, dirt, pollens, and small bugs. They can badly affect your vehicle’s performance, and that means your every drive will be unpleasant. But apart from the practical benefits, air cleaners also add beauty to your under hood. Chrome and polished finishes are among the most common types of air cleaner assemblies because of their sheer elegance.

Air processing unit, Working in combination, air dryers and multi-circuit protection valves form an air processing unit. This will clean and dry air coming from the compressor, while managing pressure across the vehicles air circuits, including overload protection.

are an effective and preventative maintenance for hard-working vehicles especially with common rail systems, which are incredibly efficient but intolerant to water and contaminants. They are used as a first line of defence filtering water and particulates from diesel fuel before it gets to the factory fuel filter.

The engine filtration system may be flooded with large amounts of water or other contaminants. Emulsified or free water is always present in the fuel. Water is a corrosive, and fuel is a lubricant. The removal of water in fuel oil has become a very important problem. The separation of emulsified water and free water is very important to the economic performance of any diesel engine.

Ensure your engine is running with optimal efficiency and horsepower with the hydraulic filter kit. Made with a spin-on design for easy installation, this filter extracts dirt and water from your hydraulic system.

Assembly Components

Replacement filter

Particulate contamination including metals, dust, fibers, seal material, etc., is removed and captured by the filter element. The clean fluid then exits the assembly through the outlet port.

Gauge/Monitoring Devices/Sensors

After a period of service, the cartridge filter will become clogged and require replacement.  The Differential Pressure Indicator/Switch (DPI/DPS) located in the head of the filter assembly indicates when the filter element is becoming blocked and needs to be changed.

Bypass Valve

If the element is not changed, the differential pressure will continue to rise. Above a certain value, the bypass valve opens and the fluid passes directly through the filter head to the outlet port. The valve can be in the filter or the filter head.

FAQ

Oil filter wrench, or a strap wrench.If its really feisty, and doesn’t want to come off, take a 10 inch punch or drift, drive it all the way through with a hammer, and twist it off.

Yes, it will. But for high volume tanks you may want to run through an oil/water separator before putting in the ready use tank.

The Navy uses a seawater press up to prevent large diesel tanks from sloshing and to reduce the fire hazard of a large vapor space. You can move the diesel to a day tank just by putting in more water at the bottom.

Primary fuel filter: 30 micron (98%@30 micron) – Ideally suited as a pre-filter to protect downstream filters from excessive contamination. Extends the life of on-engine filters.

Secondary fuel filter: 10 micron (98%@10 micron) – Captures more contaminants than 30 micron elements, and is more effective at stopping water, which further ensures all the waste and contaminants have been removed. Extends the life of the entire fuel system.

Final fuel filter: 2 micron (98%@4 microns) – Provides maximum water removal and filtration and is capable of protecting all modern injection systems, while greatly extending the life of difficult-to-service on-engine filters.

  1. The Pu end of the air filter has high resilience, good toughness, strong surface treatment process, guanze, very smooth touch. The Pu of the auxiliary plant is hard, poor resilience, no luster and poor touch;
  2. There are three deep and wide grooves in the inner diameter seal of the radial sealed air outer filter element, while at present, the grooves of the auxiliary factory are generally two or three to shallow and narrow;
  3. When the air filter element is viewed from the inside to the outside in the sunlight, the filter paper is slightly light yellow, while the auxiliary factory is basically white or milky white (the surface coating is different, and the treatment process is different)
