Air Processing Unit
Air processing units,also called air dryer assembly. They are Air Dryer Filter + multi circuit protection valves. The compressed air produced by the compressor must be dried and cleaned before it is distributed to up to seven different brake and auxiliary circuits. These circuits must be filled with three different pressure levels and fixed to each other to reliably meet the highest safety requirements in traffic.
Air procession Unit is a compact device, not only cheaper and easier to install, but also smaller installation space. It can effectively use the free energy or “over limit” stage of the engine, prolong the service life of the drying cylinder by 50%. The economic and efficient design can automatically adapt to various compressor and gas storage tank sizes. The more functions are:

Use and maintenance
Detachable type and non detachable type, detachable type are generally used on large unit system, and non detachable type is used on small unit.
Use and maintenance
1. When assembling or replacing, pay attention to the connection between the inlet and outlet. If it is installed reversely, the dryer will not work;
2. When assembling or replacing air processing unit, pay attention to the cleanness of the pipeline, otherwise impurities may cause air leakage
3. The air drying filter shall be replaced once a year. If the air in the use environment contains too much dust and moisture, the replacement cycle must be shortened. Check the water accumulation in the air receiver regularly (once a month is recommended). If the water accumulation in the air receiver is serious, the air drying filter must be replaced.
4. Except for the air drying filter, other parts of assembly shall not be disassembled by users at will.
5. When the vehicle is in the third level maintenance, it shall be disassembled, cleaned and arranged by professional technicians, and the vulnerable parts shall be replaced
6. In order to ensure good drying performance of the dryer, the connection between the air compressor and the dryer shall be made of metal pipes and kept for more than 5m, so as to prevent the early failure of rubber parts in the dryer due to the high temperature of the gas, and the temperature of the air inlet shall not be greater than 65 degrees
Tips for Air Processing Unit
1. Air leak
Cause: air leakage is caused by foreign matters flowing to the sealing surface of the exhaust valve in the pipeline due to the oil flushing of the air compressor
Solution: repair or replace the air compressor and remove the foreign matters on the sealing surface of the exhaust valve.
2. Low closing pressure
Cause: the use time of air dryer is too long, resulting in the reduction of pressure adjustment single spring.
Solution: replace the pressure adjusting spring.
3. Why the air pressure can’t rise
(1) The air pipe is damaged or the connector is loose, causing the leakage of compressed air
(2) The seal and piston are damaged due to the long service time of air dry blaster.
Solution: (1) Replace the damaged air pipe and fasten the loose connector
(2) Replace the damaged seal, piston or irreparable valve body assembly.
4. A large amount of water is stored in the air reservoir
Reason: the performance of the dryer is poor, and the molecular sieve can not remove the water in the compressed air.
Solution: replace the air dryer filter.
